Do I have to have an A1/A3 license before I can start the course?
No, you don't need the A1/A3 to start the course. BUT: So that you can register for the A2 exam, you must first obtain the A1/A3 certificate directly with Federal Aviation Office do. We'll take you by the hand and show you step-by-step how to do it.
I am an Austrian and would like to take the exam at AustroControl, can I prepare myself for it with you?
Yes, definitely! In return, you can only take the online course without an exam for just Buy 199€. During training, we cover the same examination topics as at AustroControl. Here you can buy the online course without an exam.
Are you an officially appointed testing center?
Yes, definitely! Copteruni is an inspection body appointed by the Federal Aviation Office, which can carry out the test for the A2 drone driving license completely online. Our registration number is de.PSTf.008.
How does the online exam work?
During the online exam, you are monitored and recorded using your webcam and smartphone. Before the exam starts, we'll guide you through a process to secure the room you're in. In doing so, we create a safe examination environment so that you can take your exam in a relaxed way 😉.
Technically In fact, you need the following: You need a PC or laptop with a webcam and microphone. You must have the Google Chrome browser or Microsoft Edge installed. You also need a smartphone with Android 4.1 or higher or iOS 8.0 or higher. Your Internet connection should be stable and have an upload speed of at least 1 MB/sec.
Can I take the exam with you even if I am not living in Germany?
Yes, no matter which country you come from, you can take the exam with us, completely online, as long as you meet the requirements. These are:
- An A1/A3 drone license (no matter from which country)
- A valid identity document
- The practical self-explanation (you will do this in our course)
- At least 16 years old (soon we will also be offering exams for under 16 years of age)
So it doesn't matter whether you live in Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Belgium,..., or even outside the EU, with us you can definitely get your A2 drone license from the comfort of your own home.
How long does it take to get a drone license?
If you choose us, you have the fastest way elected! As a rule, students need 4 hoursto prepare for the exam with the learning materials. We recommend investing another 4 hours to consolidate what you have learned. The exam itself takes 40 minutes. And immediately after the test, you will receive your result, which we will send directly to the Federal Aviation Office.
On which dates do exams take place?
We usually offer exam dates 3 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., every quarter of an hour on. Even on weekends. So there should be something for everyone. And if there is still nothing suitable, just send us a message with your preferred date and we will try to make it possible for you.
Of course, you can book your preferred date online and also postpone it at any time if anything comes up.

Which license do I get at the end?
