If you fly a modern C2-class drone (such as the DJI Mavic 3 series or DJI Air 3), the A2 licence – officially called the "EU Remote Pilot Certificate" – is your key to more freedom. With the standard A1/A3 licence, you often have to maintain a distance of 150 metres from residential, commercial and industrial areas.
